Ask questions and read documents
The key is the right key and is much more affordable than the dealership. However I didn’t read the enclosed receipt. It says in order to program the new key I need two working keys. I bought this key because I lost my second key. I needed a replacement. So this key unlock the door but the ignition won’t recognize it. It has to be coded at the dealership. The buttons all work but I just wasted the money for this one. Unless I pay the dealership to code it. I didn’t read that I needed two keys to program the new one before I paid to have it cut

Works for me
I was able to program the chip to start my 2013 F150 and the fob per the instructions. Everything worked. The only problem was finding someone to cut the key. I had to take it to Ford ($17) because the local Ace and Home Depot we’re both unwilling.
