5-Button flip-out key with remote start. Only for vehicles that require the key be inserted into the ignition switch and turned to start the vehicle. This is NOT for Passive Entry, Passive Start vehicles. (PEPS) If you have a push button start on your dash you need a PEPS key remote, not this one.
This remote fits the vehicles listed below:
• Chevrolet Camaro (2010-2016)
• Chevrolet Cruze (2011-2016) (2016 Sonic may use different remotes. Make sure your's looks like this one)
• Chevrolet Equinox (2010-2017)
• Chevrolet Impala (2014-2017) (2017 and newer require two working keys to program a 3rd)
• Chevrolet Malibu (2013-2016)
• Chevrolet Sonic (2012-2017) (2017 requires two working keys to perform this procedure.)
PROGRAMMING: The remote you purchase needs to be programmed to work on your vehicle. Easy, do it yourself programming instructions are included with the purchase. You will need to have the key cut to match your current key first. Most locksmiths can do this for you. You will need to already have one working key that starts the vehicle. 2017 Sonic and 2017 and newer Impala require two working keys to perform this procedure. Canadian vehicles require programming by a locksmith or dealership.
Your vehicle must already have the remote start option on it. If not, buying this remote will NOT give you that function! (see notes below about AP8 vs AP3 code)

Product works exactly as expected, replacing a nearly identical key for a 2014 Chevy Cruze.

Buy these keys! Beware of imitators!
I purchased 2 keys for my 2014 Camaro SS because the previous owner had the recall key ( regular key and fob without switchblade) they arrived fast and I took them to my local ACE Hardware to have them cut from the stock key. After cutting one to fit I followed the instructions and started my car with the stock key, waited 5 seconds, shut it off, put in the new key, started the car, waited 5 seconds and bam!!! Everything worked, all 5 buttons including remote start. Had the second key cut, repeated the procedure and it worked again. I spent a grand total of $20 per key to have them cut. This is the real deal folks. I don't see how it's possible to hit the key with your knee and turn of the car while driving but I was able to do it intentionally and with some really deliberate movements. I'm nearly 6' so you'd have to have super long legs to do it lol. Bottom line, price was great, shipping was fast and it worked exactly as they said it would. I'm absolutely pleased with my purchase. If your considering purchasing theses keys just stop, buy the keys.

WORKED EXACTLY AS PROMISED!
Great Price!!!! I ordered 3 remote blocks for a 2013 Chevy Equinox. I received them very quickly with a step-by-step instruction sheet for key cutting and programming to my vehicle. Worked exactly as instructed. The only change on the instruction sheet is, Batteries+ no longer cuts keys unless you order the remote block from them.. AutoZone and Advanced Auto also no longer cut automotive keys. Try your local hardware store. I used a local Howard Bros./ True Value Hardware.

Tried to get a key cut locally. Everyone wanted at least $60.00 to cut the key, and wouldn't guarantee it, because i didn't buy the fob from them. Tried to just replace old key in new fob, lost the keeper key, my bad.
