5-Button flip-out key with remote start. Only for vehicles that require the key be inserted into the ignition switch and turned to start the vehicle. This is NOT for Passive Entry, Passive Start vehicles. (PEPS) If you have a push button start on your dash you need a PEPS key remote, not this one.
This remote fits the vehicles listed below:
• Chevrolet Camaro (2010-2016)
• Chevrolet Cruze (2011-2016) (2016 Sonic may use different remotes. Make sure your's looks like this one)
• Chevrolet Equinox (2010-2017)
• Chevrolet Impala (2014-2017) (2017 and newer require two working keys to program a 3rd)
• Chevrolet Malibu (2013-2016)
• Chevrolet Sonic (2012-2017) (2017 requires two working keys to perform this procedure.)
PROGRAMMING: The remote you purchase needs to be programmed to work on your vehicle. Easy, do it yourself programming instructions are included with the purchase. You will need to have the key cut to match your current key first. Most locksmiths can do this for you. You will need to already have one working key that starts the vehicle. 2017 Sonic and 2017 and newer Impala require two working keys to perform this procedure. Canadian vehicles require programming by a locksmith or dealership.
Your vehicle must already have the remote start option on it. If not, buying this remote will NOT give you that function! (see notes below about AP8 vs AP3 code)

Looks good.
Tried to get a key cut locally. Everyone wanted at least $60.00 to cut the key, and wouldn't guarantee it, because i didn't buy the fob from them. Tried to just replace old key in new fob, lost the keeper key, my bad.

Blank Key Great, but...
Very pleased with the blank key and its timely arrival. Not so pleased with your recommendation to go to Batteries+. The first store I visited wanted to make an appointment for several days later. Second store quoted $35 - cutting machine would not work. Third store quoted $59,95 - very inexperienced operator and poor quality machine, needing several shims and screws to fix the blank in place. He failed to set up the blank key properly and cut the ket about 1 mm offline. The result - a ruined key, which naturally did not work!

Best Ever
This was very easy to program and set up. This cost less than it did to have the key cut. Dealership charged $25 for cutting the key. Once done it was very easy to program. Now we've ordered another one for the same car.
