Product Description

5-Button flip-out key with remote start.  Only for vehicles that require the key be inserted into the ignition switch and turned to start the vehicle. This is NOT for Passive Entry, Passive Start vehicles. (PEPS)  If you have a push button start on your dash you need a PEPS key remote, not this one.

This remote fits the vehicles listed below:

• Chevrolet Camaro (2010-2016)
• Chevrolet Cruze (2011-2016) (2016 Sonic may use different remotes.  Make sure your's looks like this one)
• Chevrolet Equinox (2010-2017)
• Chevrolet Impala (2014-2017) (2017 and newer require two working keys to program a 3rd)
• Chevrolet Malibu (2013-2016)
• Chevrolet Sonic (2012-2017) (2017 requires two working keys to perform this procedure.)

PROGRAMMING: The remote you purchase needs to be programmed to work on your vehicle. Easy, do it yourself programming instructions are included with the purchase.  You will need to have the key cut to match your current key first.  Most locksmiths can do this for you. You will need to already have one working key that starts the vehicle.  2017 Sonic and 2017 and newer Impala require two working keys to perform this procedure.  Canadian vehicles require programming by a locksmith or dealership.

Your vehicle must already have the remote start option on it.  If not, buying this remote will NOT give you that function! (see notes below about AP8 vs AP3 code)

Excellent and affordable key! Looks and works exactly as the original one.

Keyless remotes is the place where you can buy fobs at a very affordable price! Dealership wanted to charge me $200 dollars for a new key, including cut, and programming. Thanks to keyless remotes I only paid $25 (including shipping and handling) for a brand new key, and spent another $45 dollars at my local Locksmith to get the key cut. Programming was ridiculously easy. In less than two minutes my key was fully functional and ready to go. All buttons worked flawlessly, including the remote start. I saved $135 dollars by buying my key from this place. I’m very happy with my purchase!.

    Easy and Affordable

Ordered a flip key with remote start for my 2013 Chevy Equinox. I called around from dealerships to locksmiths and everywhere had quoted me $250-$300. If I said I ordered the key they still wanted to charge about $230-$280 for programming. All places tried to say how difficult it is to program a new key. This key was about $25 including shipping and handling, and getting the key cut was $30. So in total I spent $55. The key came with extremely easy programming instructions. Literally took about 30 seconds. I’m amazed at how I saved $195-$245 by ordering from Keyless Remotes. Highly recommend. I’m going to order another one to have a spare in the case that I wash my key again..whoops.

    Great Value

Posted by Michael F Dimaggio on 12th Feb 2021

This remote cost me $20 plus another $15 to get a locksmith to cut the key. The locksmith had the same remote for sale for $80! Plus the key cutting charge! No reason to ever pay more.

Definitely worth the time and money (Saving)

My original car key fob to my Chevrolet Impala had dry rotted and no longer worked. I went to the dealership to purchase a new key fob and was told $212.00 for ONE KEY FOB (not including programming fee), needless go say I left without it. I did some research and came across keyless remotes.com and ordered two key fobs for a fraction of one at the dealership. The fobs came a day sooner than expected with the programming instructions for my vehicle also. I got the keys cut and programmed two key fobs in less than five minutes. I definitely recommend this company!

    A Great Remote

The remote works great. Make sure if you cut the key that you do it off of the VIN at a GM dealer and not from a key at a third party such as Batteries Plus.
