Product Description
5-Button flip-out key with remote start. Only for vehicles that require the key be inserted into the ignition switch and turned to start the vehicle. This is NOT for Passive Entry, Passive Start vehicles. (PEPS) If you have a push button start on your dash you need a PEPS key remote, not this one.
This remote fits the vehicles listed below:
• Chevrolet Camaro (2010-2016)
• Chevrolet Cruze (2011-2016) (2016 Sonic may use different remotes. Make sure your's looks like this one)
• Chevrolet Equinox (2010-2017)
• Chevrolet Impala (2014-2017) (2017 and newer require two working keys to program a 3rd)
• Chevrolet Malibu (2013-2016)
• Chevrolet Sonic (2012-2017) (2017 requires two working keys to perform this procedure.)
PROGRAMMING: The remote you purchase needs to be programmed to work on your vehicle. Easy, do it yourself programming instructions are included with the purchase. You will need to have the key cut to match your current key first. Most locksmiths can do this for you. You will need to already have one working key that starts the vehicle. 2017 Sonic and 2017 and newer Impala require two working keys to perform this procedure. Canadian vehicles require programming by a locksmith or dealership.
Your vehicle must already have the remote start option on it. If not, buying this remote will NOT give you that function! (see notes below about AP8 vs AP3 code)

Excellent product/service
I ordered 2 key fobs for my 2014 Camaro, They arrived in a few days as promised and the instructions to program were clear and concise. After going to Batteries Plus to cut the keys as instructed $10.00/Ea. I followed the instructions to program the fobs, It took all of 1 min to program both. So the cost to me for 2 programmed fobs was less then $70.00. Much less then the up $200 per key a dealership would charge.(key plus programming) The fobs I received are Identical to the one that came with the car. I will highly recommend Keyless Remote.com to anyone looking to replace a key fob. PS Interesting factoid, I picked up my wife's car from my mechanic right after and told him how easy and inexpensive the keys were and he told me a story of another customer of his who lost his key to a Mercedes Benz. Cost to replace it was over $3200.00 from the dealer. OUCH

Failed
The keys were not for a 2009 and did not work at all. I bought remotes previously and they worked great but these are the wrong ones Wasted time and money. Reply: yes they are the wrong ones for 2009 but that's what you ordered.

Perfect
Perfect match, easy to program, can’t believe I waited this long to replace my old worn remote.

Perfect match!
$10 to laser cut the key & 10 seconds to program. Works like a charm for a fraction of the price quoted by my dealership. Love it!

Chevrolet Equinox works again
Purchased this unit not knowing if it would work. Batteries Plus was able to cut the key and program it with no problem. It worked as advertised!

Excellent value! And worked as advertised!
The key works just as advertised. Simiar keys were more expensive. Just find a good locksmith who can cut the key. Its helps to have the original key.
