5-Button flip-out key with remote start. Only for vehicles that require the key be inserted into the ignition switch and turned to start the vehicle. This is NOT for Passive Entry, Passive Start vehicles. (PEPS) If you have a push button start on your dash you need a PEPS key remote, not this one.
This remote fits the vehicles listed below:
• Chevrolet Camaro (2010-2016)
• Chevrolet Cruze (2011-2016) (2016 Sonic may use different remotes. Make sure your's looks like this one)
• Chevrolet Equinox (2010-2017)
• Chevrolet Impala (2014-2017) (2017 and newer require two working keys to program a 3rd)
• Chevrolet Malibu (2013-2016)
• Chevrolet Sonic (2012-2017) (2017 requires two working keys to perform this procedure.)
PROGRAMMING: The remote you purchase needs to be programmed to work on your vehicle. Easy, do it yourself programming instructions are included with the purchase. You will need to have the key cut to match your current key first. Most locksmiths can do this for you. You will need to already have one working key that starts the vehicle. 2017 Sonic and 2017 and newer Impala require two working keys to perform this procedure. Canadian vehicles require programming by a locksmith or dealership.
Your vehicle must already have the remote start option on it. If not, buying this remote will NOT give you that function! (see notes below about AP8 vs AP3 code)

Perfect!
I received mine in 3 days! I took it to Auto Zone to get cut. They didn’t charge anything. Instructions that came with it worked perfect. Took me probably 20 seconds. Works perfect. No issues. I will probably be ordering a spare.

The REAL DEAL
I can be another to attest to the quality of the chevrolet remote key as well as easiness of programming said key to your chevrolet (in my case 2015 malibu 2LT) car. It literally took all of 5 to 10 seconds and voila, it was done! My problem was my old key (original chevy one too) 3 of the buttons (lock,unlock, & remote start) all of them had fallen off so I was having to use my pinky to click the mechanism, which is ridiculous! After I ordered this which is so cheap I paid the additional $25something to get the 2 day FEDEX shipping. So instead of going to the dealership or someone else who wants to charge you $200 to $300. Just get this, then go to your local locksmith(not walmart/lowes/homedepot;need laser key cutter for cars)with new and old key and have them cut your new one like your old one.(but make sure to tell them you DON'T need help programming cuz they'll try to charge you for it)for me cost $25 so total spent $70 or $45 without expedited ship!

Really a bargain
Much cheaper than the dealer price of around $300 for the key cutting and programming if you live near a batteries+. $60 to cut and program, only reason it’s not 5 stars is because it doesn’t have the Chevy bow tie like the original key

Excellent!!!
Lost fob, ordered this one and item was received sooner than expected and we got the key cut for $20.00 at a locksmith and then we programmed it ourselves while sitting in the car at the locksmith.. Took all of maybe 20 seconds. Tried it on locks, trunk and remote start and it worked like a charm. Easiest ever!!!! Directions came with item and was so easy to follow. Don't waste your money having someone else program it. You will kick yourself if you do. Great company will do business again if the need arises.
