5-Button flip-out key with remote start. Only for vehicles that require the key be inserted into the ignition switch and turned to start the vehicle. This is NOT for Passive Entry, Passive Start vehicles. (PEPS) If you have a push button start on your dash you need a PEPS key remote, not this one.
This remote fits the vehicles listed below:
• Chevrolet Camaro (2010-2016)
• Chevrolet Cruze (2011-2016) (2016 Sonic may use different remotes. Make sure your's looks like this one)
• Chevrolet Equinox (2010-2017)
• Chevrolet Impala (2014-2017) (2017 and newer require two working keys to program a 3rd)
• Chevrolet Malibu (2013-2016)
• Chevrolet Sonic (2012-2017) (2017 requires two working keys to perform this procedure.)
PROGRAMMING: The remote you purchase needs to be programmed to work on your vehicle. Easy, do it yourself programming instructions are included with the purchase. You will need to have the key cut to match your current key first. Most locksmiths can do this for you. You will need to already have one working key that starts the vehicle. 2017 Sonic and 2017 and newer Impala require two working keys to perform this procedure. Canadian vehicles require programming by a locksmith or dealership.
Your vehicle must already have the remote start option on it. If not, buying this remote will NOT give you that function! (see notes below about AP8 vs AP3 code)

Works perfectly. I just got a locksmith to cut it and the programming instructions made it quick and easy! So glad it was on sale too :)

From purchase to delivery to activation of key fob, everything went smoothly. Would use them again and recommend. Took it to a locksmith and had the key cut, programmed it myself according to included instructions. And the price was right!

2013 chevy sonic lt
I followed the instruction sent by mail. Paid $9 to have key cut and programed myself. Real easy and saved me at least 300 dollars going this route.

We bought this key to replace the ogm it definitely feels and works just as good and the price is affordable unlike what a dealership would charge. Cutting and programming cost me $40 making the total $60 for a complete new key overall I’m a happy customer and we’ll keep ordering from this company.
