PROGRAMMING: The remote you purchase needs to be programmed to work on your vehicle. Easy, do it yourself programming instructions are included with the purchase.
This remote will replace:

CAN: 1551A-12BBX
This remote will work with the factory installed remote keyless entry (RKE) system on the vehicles listed. Your vehicle must have the factory RKE system installed on it. Customers are responsible to determine if they have this option and to purchase the correct remote for their vehicle. All of our remotes come with new batteries and are tested before shipment.
Notes: (1) Tundra 2004-2005 MUST be a double cab (4 full doors) all other Tundra’s use a different remote. See our other listings.
(2) Some Toyota vehicles were equipped with an optional dealer installed security system. That system is known as the Toyota VIP, RS3000, or RS3200 security system and it uses a different remote.

Saved money, works well
The remote works very well but unfortunately the programming information I was given with it did not work for my 2006 Highlander I ended up researching online after repeated failed programming attempts and found the right information after that the remote worked the first time and has been working great saved me about $200.00 too when I checked with a local dealership that's what they wanted for the remote and to program it.

Works as promised
Item for 2004 Tundra. Worked great and it did take 3 tries as stated. I'm so happy with this as Toyota previously told me it could be 200.00 dollars to replace my stolen fob.
