Product Description
This is a new, OEM original Toyota remote. It is not aftermarket or "refurbished". On the back of the remote is the FCC ID # ELVATDD. It has lock and unlock buttons on front and a red panic button on the back.
NOTE: This is NOT the "factory" remote, it is NOT the VIP 3000 or the VIP 3200. And it DOES NOT interchange with any of those.
It was known as the SECURIKEY+ system. It was installed either by the Toyota new car prep (Port Installed) or by individual dealers on vehicles that did not come equipped from the factory.
This remote was installed by SOME Toyota dealers and new dealer prep (Port Installed) particularly in the South. It is my experience that most of the vehicles that used this remote came into the country through a port in Texas. (Toyota imported some vehicles with a minimum of accessories to minimize import duties and added certain parts afterwards. Hence the term "Port Installed". It was also installed by Toyota dealers for the same reason).
Notice it looks different than any of the other possible remotes used on these vehicles and it does not interchange. Please check the FCC ID number on the back So if your old remote looks exactly like this it is the one you need. Otherwise it will not work.
You can program it yourself.
