5-Button flip-out key with remote start. Only for vehicles that require the key be inserted into the ignition switch and turned to start the vehicle. This is NOT for Passive Entry, Passive Start vehicles. (PEPS) If you have a push button start on your dash you need a PEPS key remote, not this one.
This remote fits the vehicles listed below:
• Chevrolet Camaro (2010-2016)
• Chevrolet Cruze (2011-2016) (2016 Sonic may use different remotes. Make sure your's looks like this one)
• Chevrolet Equinox (2010-2017)
• Chevrolet Impala (2014-2017) (2017 and newer require two working keys to program a 3rd)
• Chevrolet Malibu (2013-2016)
• Chevrolet Sonic (2012-2017) (2017 requires two working keys to perform this procedure.)
PROGRAMMING: The remote you purchase needs to be programmed to work on your vehicle. Easy, do it yourself programming instructions are included with the purchase. You will need to have the key cut to match your current key first. Most locksmiths can do this for you. You will need to already have one working key that starts the vehicle. 2017 Sonic and 2017 and newer Impala require two working keys to perform this procedure. Canadian vehicles require programming by a locksmith or dealership.
Your vehicle must already have the remote start option on it. If not, buying this remote will NOT give you that function! (see notes below about AP8 vs AP3 code)

VERY SATISFIED
Ordered 2 Chevy flip keys, they are an exact match to the original keys. I took my keys to a local locksmith that charged $35.00/key to cut. The programming was so easy! I had both keys programmed to my car in under a minute! Actually programmed them before I even left the locksmith's parking lot. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a flip key.

cheap, oem, just pay to cut keys
so I purchased 3 chevrolet keys on here hoping that due to the low price I'd have working decent solution that was a lower price than the dealership but still good quality. They're an exact match to the oem key. The only issue I encountered that was unexpected was the cost and time of having the keys cut. I went to the dealership, paid 20 for all three and they work perfectly and not having to have them program them in their freetime saved me time as well as they take next to nothing to program. All in all I saved over 150 by going with these and the last time the dealership programmed them for me it took several hours, this took under half an hour for the total process! They arrived quickly even during covid 19 times. Seriously, save yourself some money! Perfect purchase in my opinion! I'm a real customer and this review is real. I hate that it's difficult to rely on reviews nowadays due to people being paid to review. I was not. I just hope everyone finds this option!

Just what I ordered
I ordered this remote/key to give us a second set because we only received one key when we bought the car. After years, I finally got around to getting a backup. The remote/key was brand new and once I got it cut (went to the Chevy dealer who surprisingly cut it for only $5), programmed it in a few seconds, and it worked flawlessly.

Perfect buy
Perfect buy. Purchased to replace key fob for 2015 Chevy Malibu. Took it to Ace hardware but they would not cut it for me since I did not purchase through them. Took to locksmith down the street and they did it for $50. Got home and easily programmed it by starting the car all the way and turning it off Right away and starting it within 5 seconds using new key fob. Worked like a charm. Very satisfied
