Product Description
This is a Mazda transponder key blank and will work with the cars listed in the chart below. Most modern automobiles have keys with transponders hidden inside the plastic head of the key. When a key is inserted into the ignition lock cylinder and turned, the car's computer sends a radio signal to the transponder. Unless the transponder replies with a valid code, the computer will not allow the engine to be started. Transponder keys have no battery; they are energized by the radio signal itself. This transponder key head is designed to be used with the Mazda three and four button Flip Key remote-key combo (MAZ7001_B, MAZ7025_B).
Programming: You must possess two original transponders keys to can program this key yourself. Easy to follow programming procedures are included.This is a blank key that must be cut to match your current key. Many hardware stores or locksmiths can do this for you. In addition, your car must be trained to recognize the transponder.
Note: If you have the Smart Entry System this key will not work with your vehicle.
