Product Description
This is a genuine Mazda remote and will work with the factory remote keyless entry system (RKE) on the cars in the chart below. Your vehicle must have the factory RKE system on it. Customers are responsible to determine if they have this option and to purchase the correct remote for their vehicle.
Programming: This remote must be programmed to your vehicle. Programming is a simple procedure and only takes a few minutes. Easy, do-it-yourself instructions are included with purchase.
NOTE: There exists another remote that will fit the two vehicles listed. The other remote is a "Smart Key" and is a remote-key combination part. In addition, the Mazda 6 was sometimes equipped with a fifth door or "Hatch." This vehicle requires a separate remote. When ordering a remote, it is recommended to check the FCC numbers on your current remote (if available) and make sure they look alike. Regarding the RX-8: 2004 RX-8's use a separate remote for early production vehicles. It is important to check the production date of your 2004 RX-8 before ordering a remote.
