This remote will work with the factory installed remote keyless entry (RKE) system on the vehicles listed below. Your vehicle must have the factory RKE system installed on it. Customers are responsible to determine if they have this option and to purchase the correct remote for their vehicle. All of our remotes come with new batteries and are tested before shipment.
PROGRAMMING: The remote you purchase needs to be programmed to work on your vehicle. Easy, do it yourself programming instructions are included with the purchase.
This remote will replace:
Part #: 15042968
FCC ID: KOBLEAR1XT
CAN: 3521 102 1718
Notes: In 2001 some vehicles changed remotes mid-year. The remotes look identical but do not interchange. You will need to match the part number off of your current remote to ensure you are purchasing the correct one. If the part number does not match, then this remote will not work. See our other listings. If you do not have an existing remote to go off of, the only way to determine which remote you need would be to purchase both remotes and return the one that does not program.

I ordered from another company and It was impossible to program, despite saying it was the proper unit. Sent it back. Ordered one from keyless-remotes.com This unit arrived quickly and programmed rapidly. I ordered another one and it too works perfectly. Great company, great products.

I just purchased a 02 Silverado and the previous owner informed me that the key fob hasn't worked in years. The battery hold down was broke. I googled keylessremotes.com and purchased a fob. I only purchased one because I wasn't sure if it was a scam. It's was scam I got with instructions, programmed it and I'm good to go. The fob also comes with a battery. Sorry for any grammar errors.
