4-button Chevrolet Flip Key remote. Not for passive entry vehicles. ONLY for vehicles that require the key be inserted and turned in the ignition switch to start. If you have a push-button on your dash to start the car you need a PEPS key remote. Not this one.
PROGRAMMING: The remote you purchase needs to be programmed to work on your vehicle. Easy, do it yourself programming instructions are included with the purchase. You will need to have the key cut to match your current key before programming. You will need to already have one working key that starts the vehicle. 2017 Sonic and 2017 and newer Impala require two working keys to perform this procedure. Canadian vehicles require programming by a locksmith or dealer.

• Chevrolet Cruze (2011-2016) (2016 Cruze may use different remotes. Make sure your's looks like this one)

• Chevrolet Impala (2014-2018) (2017 and newer require two working keys to program a 3rd)
• Chevrolet Malibu (2013-2016)
• Chevrolet Sonic (2012-2017) (2017 requires two working keys to program a 3rd)

Need to cut it
My original goal was to replace the shell for my keys. Watched you tube to figure that out. Then realized that you should not open the new shell so instead I followed the directions and had Batteries Plus cut both from the originals I had. They planned to charge $59 each which included programming. I indicated I didn’t need programming because it was so simple (direction provided) if I had the old key. Worked like a charm.
